What is that, you say?

Ahhh, what did Kgmomma buy at Target today??? MMmmmm... Yes, you are correct. That is a nose hair trimmer. Who, you may be wondering, is that for? Is that for the man of the house. Sure, men have hair. The older men get, the more hair they have coming out of their ears and noses, right? Well, peeps, I gotta tell ya. That personal grooming device is for non other than my dear Skylar. We have always known she was a hairy beast. When she was born, she had a couple inches of slick black hair. She has hair on her back (which she will proudly show u when asked), very very very Frida Kahlo-ish eyebrows and I hate to say... lots of bushy thick black nose hair. So, after taking the needle nose scissors to her nostrils before school pictures a month or so ago, I decided the next order of business would be a rotary nose hair trimmer. Well, my Skylar is not always easy going about things that invade her personal space. She's not wild about getting her hair washed and combing it out is like ropin' a steer. However, she was down for the nose hair trimmer adventure. This evening upon our return from Target, she layed her head back on the side of the sofa and I commenced to startin' up the trimmer. She said a casual "ow" a time or two, but the girl was a good sport. And, now, she is about a pound lighter due to absence of rampant nose hair. :) When Daddy was told of this evenings activities, he was concerned the trimmer would make the hair grow back with a vengeance. Well, since there was absolutely no alternative to getting control of this situation now, I offered the idea that she might need to travel with that bad boy in her makeup bag for the rest of her life. But, at about 10 seconds per nostril, it's not a beauty regimen that I will withhold from my kindergartner.

Dear Lord I'm still laughing!!!!!! I can't stop! Tears are running down my face! Ohhhh! Wow. That's funny.

poor Skylar. Should she ever try to deny her hairy nose someone will be able to "google" and find the story of her youth. :-)
